David-Joey is a storytelling poet, celebrant, and community builder, with a mission to help people listen to their lives, find their voice, and mark their moments. 

Bristol-born and London-based, he has been shaped by years of community work and communal living. Growing up in these environments, he experienced firsthand how hospitality, shared responsibility, and mutual support can change lives.

Inspired by his parents, he began working with young people in churches, charities, and schools as a youth worker, chaplain, and coach. He has also been writing and performing poetry for all ages and stages, driven by a passion to help us be more human and to create poetic justice in the world.

Over the last few years, David-Joey has taken courses in celebrancy and coaching and has developed a series of writing and wellbeing workshops for communities. In all he does, he is guided by his values to promote spaces for reflection, expression, connection and progression.
